Frequently Asked Questions:

The first half of the tuition is due 4-6 months before the trip. The second half is due 2.5 months out. Plane tickets are typically booked 2-3 months in advance. We’re happy to work with you on a payment plan as needed.

For each trip, we’ll provide a specific packing list. Generally, though, most people find that a carry-on suitcase and a personal item (like a backpack) are all they need. Always keep essentials—such as a change of clothes, some cash, your passport, and basic toiletries—within easy reach. In your carry-on, pack additional items like a Bible, notebook, pen, extra clothes, and any necessary toiletries.

Cell service varies by location. We usually have evening breaks where you may be able to communicate, depending on local coverage or using apps like WhatsApp.

We typically stay in 2-3 star hotels. Occasionally, if we’re in a very remote area, we may need to use tents, but this is rare.

The food is usually quite familiar, with options like chicken, rice, beans and sometimes gas station food. If anything unusual is on the menu, we’ll let you know in advance. Again, it all depends on where we are.

In most regions, vaccinations aren’t required. However, some areas may recommend certain vaccinations. We’ll provide guidance on these circumstances as they arise.

No. We want everyone to serve in areas aligned with their gifts and comfort levels. If there’s a need, we may invite you to stretch in some areas, but only if you’re open to it.

Absolutely! There’s a place for everyone, regardless of age, background or skillset. Come with a good attitude and a willing heart and that will set you up for success.
