Partners & Friends,
I hope your summer is going well. We are two mission trips down over the past two months and preparing for a third. In between, I’ve been sick, hosted a Youth Internship at the local church, and worked on flipping a house to help raise funds for missions. It has been busy—but God is good.
Amazon Trip Recap
The Amazon trip was a blessing. We flew into Quito, then traveled by motorized canoe up a tributary of the Amazon to minister to Indigenous people along the riverbanks. Our contacts wanted to complete a local church and children’s center begun by a pastor who had dedicated his life to serving this tribe before passing away from cancer.
Thanks to a generous donor, funds were provided last year to complete the church. This year, our team returned and finished the children’s outreach center, blessing the community with a space for future ministry and growth.
Sioux Mission Trip
I leave tomorrow for the Sioux Reservation (Rosebud / Mission, South Dakota), home to approximately 21,000 Sioux Indians. Please pray for open hearts as our team returns for the third year. Ministry will include:
- Light construction projects
- Evangelistic outreach
- A medical component to serve families
While cultural barriers remain, we believe God will soften hearts and open doors for the gospel.
Ongoing Needs
- Evangelist Sponsorship: A donor recently reduced monthly support, which impacts funding for nationals in a closed nation. Unless we can supplement their salaries, some will have to move part-time. Sponsorship opportunities are available for both full-time and part-time support.
- Prayer Team: We are also believing to establish a prayer team. If you feel called to participate or help lead, please let us know.
Thanks and blessings,
