Dear Partners and Friends,
Fall Appalachians Mission Trip
We are preparing for our fall Mission Trip to the Appalachians, based out of Gary, West Virginia—one of the poorest counties in the United States. Once a major coal producer, McDowell County was devastated when steel mills closed in the 1980s, leaving 40% of the population unemployed. Today, average family income remains well below the poverty line.
Highlights of this trip include:
- Donald: A Vietnam-era Air Force veteran who has lived without heat for years. We will install a donated wall heater and repair his porch roof.
- Church project: Repairing water issues in the basement of a local church recently purchased by the outreach center and painting the building.
- Outreach: Evening evangelistic outreaches paired with daytime construction to bless the community.
Iceland Update
Our contacts in Iceland are replacing the motor on the bus they use for outreaches. We would like to help them in this cause. Donations toward this project are deeply appreciated.
Neighbors to the South
In August, 6,185 souls were saved through ongoing evangelistic efforts—praise God! Financial conditions, however, are worsening with severe shortages of food, medicines, and toiletries. Many are turning to God as their only hope.
We are also considering moving our office to another region within this nation. This will require:
- Purchasing a building for $3,000
- Supplying at least one laptop
- Providing a printer for office use
If you would like to donate to support this transition, it would be a tremendous blessing.
Thailand Trip Announcement
We have set our Thailand trip for March 4–14, 2024 (give or take a day). Ministry will include village crusades and various forms of outreach. Total cost: $3,250.
Deadlines:
- November 1st – First half installment due: $1,625
- December 15th – Second half installment due: $1,625
Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we serve in the nations. God bless you!
