Greetings! I hope this message finds you well and that all God has called you to is flourishing.
We recently sent a team to two locations in Tennessee to explore outreach possibilities in the Appalachians for 2025. Over the past few years, a significant influx of immigrants has arrived in southern towns, seeking job opportunities. As evangelists, we steer clear of politics but look for every chance to share the gospel. This recent wave of migrants working in fields, harvesting, and in meatpacking plants has opened new doors for us to evangelize.
During our visit, we connected with a local church dedicated to providing food and supplies to immigrant families. Our team joined in distributing food, installing a drop ceiling for a local pastor, and helping with some plumbing repairs.
We’re considering sending a team back early next summer to bring supplies and partner with local teams for evangelism outreaches, follow-up, and to explore planting a Spanish-speaking service or outreach program. If you’re interested in being part of this effort, please let us know.
Finally, we’re grateful to share that funding for one of the churches we mentioned last month has been met, and for the other, we’re now only $2,150 away from reaching our goal.
