NOVEMBER 2019 NEWSLETTER

Greetings,

I am writing you from bea-u-ti-ful West Virginia.  As we head into fall, I trust that all is well with you and that you are pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.  (Phil 3:14)

September was a very fruitful month for the ministry as we saw 6,191 souls come to Christ.  We thank God for your continued support and monthly prayers that help make this possible.  Without you, this is not possible.

We were recently asked about how to win souls / share the Gospel with your family, friends, co-workers, and strangers.

One of the great keys that we build off of is this:  [Prov 18:19] “An offended brother is harder to win than a fortified city.”  Therefore, when we are on the streets, with family, friends or whoever, we always start with respect.  Respect the person’s right to hear or not hear what you have to say, respect their time, and respect their religious beliefs.  Remember, if you don’t win them to the Lord, you want the door to stay open so that the next Christian that comes along will have an opportunity to plant, water, or harvest as well.

How do I respect someone when it comes to soul winning? Ask. Before you launch into sharing, ask them, “Would you mind if I share why I believe in God with you?”, or “Can I share with you an experience that I’ve had?”, or if they are busy or there are only a few minutes, “Would you mind if I take 5 minutes and share with you why I’m a Christian and choose Christ?”.  And then respect whatever they give you.  Remember, it’s their life, their right, and you will be doing them and the Gospel a service if you respect that. If they give you 5 minutes, then share your faith and the reason for your hope in 5 minutes.  If you go over 5 minutes, you take something from them that they did not give to you.  You can ask for a few more minutes or learn to share your faith in 5 minutes.

I recommend that all of you to learn how to share your testimony in 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 8 minutes and 10 minutes, and then after sharing what God has done for you, say, “He will certainly do something for you if you can trust Him. Would you like to receive Jesus today?

Thank-you again for all that you do to help make soul winning possible throughout the nations.  You are truly a blessing and we pray for you daily.

Blessings,

Will and Cristen Bridges
