OCTOBER 2019 NEWSLETTER

We trust all is well with you. We are praying God’s richest blessings upon you as you head into the fall. God is a faithful God who supplies all of our needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus. He’s worthy to be served/celebrated with all we do. He is also a merciful God that is full of grace.

The ministry team saw 5,821 souls saved in August. Thank-God for this harvest and for all of you who’s sowing monthly to make this possible.

Recently, the ministry was asked if we could share a little bit regarding soul winning/evangelism.

I recently went to a conference where some things were shared that I thought were pretty good.

They recommended writing down 100 names of people that you know, then circle 5 that are peaceable and begin to pray over them. Determine to find a way to share your testimony with those 5 within the next 2 weeks. Pray that God would prepare their hearts daily and that God would help you create an opportunity to share your faith/testimony.

Here are some openings you can use to share your testimony. “I’d like to share with you why I chose to follow Christ.” “Would you mind if I share with you why I chose to serve Christ?” “I’d like to tell you why I chose to follow Jesus.”

“Some people will give you a window of only 3 to 5 minutes, some longer.”

My recommendation is that you ask. The Bible says that an offended person is harder to win than a fortified city. Therefore, rather than just blasting them with the gospel, I always ask, and then, read their body language so that I can determine how long they are open to receive. Once they give you permission, share your testimony.

(Learn to share your testimony in 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 8 minutes, and 10 minutes.)  Some people will give you a window of only 3 to 5 minutes, some longer. You should be equipped, practiced up, and prepared to share your testimony and the reason that you have hope. I recommend timing yourself with a timer and practicing. Over the next month, practice 30 times, until it becomes a natural flow.

At the end of giving your testimony, you can always end with: “God wants to have a relationship with you as well”, or “If God can do this for me, He can do it for you as well.” etc.  If they are open, pray with them to receive Christ.

Hope all is well/Blessings,

Will and Cristen Bridges
